Victoria Beckham's Affordable Clothing Collection Might Become A Reality
Following in the footsteps of Topshop, Target, and H&M designer collaborations, Victoria Beckham is planning on creating a more affordable fashion range for women who can't spend money on designer duds, according to Image.com. After debuting her SS16 collection at New York Fashion Week, the sartorial world has been noticing a shift in Beckham's aesthetic eye. First of all, her outfits were paired with sneakers. That alone can floor a person, especially when coming from the queen of high heels. Then, breaking away from her favored bodycon silhouettes, she opted for loose culottes, boxy pleats, and fluid shapes. While she's shocking the runway (in a good way) with her uncharacteristic style, Beckham is also keeping the momentum going by announcing a more affordable line.
According to Daily Mirror, Beckham revealed, "I’d like to create gorgeous clothes for women who can’t afford to pay designer prices." Staying in tune with the fact that wallet conscious women aim to look stylish too, she's hoping to spread the love of her fabulous collection. She then added, “I want to make women feel sexy, whatever their budget is."

Amen to that. Considering she has pieces in her luxury collection that run up to $18,000, it can probably go unsaid that I'm rather excited to see some more affordable options.

NEW YORK — There was lots to talk about this month at New York Fashion Week: new venues, plenty of parties, sensational street style. But designers’ collections for spring/summer 2016 were the true talk of the town.
Unlike some seasons when almost everything looks like designers sipped from the same pool of inspiration, we were swimming in variety. There were nods to Paris and the Far and Middle East, eclectic print mashups, goddesses, sportswear, sensual sheers, sexy swim looks, watercolor florals, dazzling embellishments, something for the downtown cool girl, and a laundry list of other things.
Some trends turned up more than others, making them the ones most likely to complete the journey from runway to store rack early next year. Here’s a roundup of trends to look forward to ...
Island musings: Many designers channeled for spring the vibrant shades and easygoing spirit of the Caribbean. (This may be tied to the opening of Cuba to Americans.) Designers did it justice with hibiscus prints, colorful crocheted pieces, bucket hats and citrus shades.
Hippie chic: Styles plucked from the ’70s are everywhere this season — and they’re probably not going anywhere in 2016, either. Boho maxis, flared pants, fringed hemlines and tie-dye patterns are among the retro references that could stick around for a while.
Carefree colors: Popular palettes included warm, feel-good hues such as tranquil blues, buttery yellows and pale pinks paired with common neutrals. There also was the occasional classic monochromatic design done in pure white or black.
Seeing stripes: Thick or thin, horizontal or vertical, multicolored, or black and white, stripes wallpapered styles from head to toe.
Show some shoulder: Peel off winter’s bulky layers and reveal some skin. Many dresses, tops and jumpsuits skimmed the collarbone, displaying the decolletage, while others played peek-a-boo with shoulder cutouts.
Pajama party: Fashion’s fondness for cozy-chic clothes is nothing new. In recent years, the trend’s been interpreted as casual-luxe combinations (a chunky sweater or fitted sweatshirt paired with a flowing skirt, for example), gym-to-street athleisure wear and chunky sneakers paired with anything. It had its moment on the runways of New York Fashion Week: Men’s in July. Next year, expect to see it refreshed for women as pajama separates and rompers suitable for everyday wear, robe-inspired toppers, piping details and silky slip dresses.
